Jamie began his musical journey in his hometown of Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia. He was introduced to playing in brass bands by his father and they both played percussion for the Toowoomba Municipal Bands. Jamie studied a Bachelor of Music at the University of Southern Queensland and was heavily involved in his local community both in a teaching and performing capacity.

Jamie relocated to the UK in September 2014 after being offered a position with The Cory Band. He has since had the privilege of performing in world-class concert venues throughout the UK, Europe and North America. In 2016, Jamie joined the British Army as a Musician and has served in The Band of The Prince of Wales’ Division, British Army Band Tidworth and is currently assigned to The Band and Bugles of The Rifles, based in Winchester. Jamie joined the Flowers Band in 2019 and has since enjoyed many memorable performances, including winning the National Finals in 2024.
