Unlike my esteem colleagues on the team I can’t point a long and illustrious playing career with a variety of top bands/ institutions. My involvement with brass banding began a many years ago when I volunteered to help our Course Director at the Bolsover Festival of Brass. Over the years my role at this event developed culminating with me becoming health and safety lead for the Bolsover Festival of Brass event and taking the role as Health & Safety Lead  Officer on the EIBBSS courses.

I have over 20 years’ experience as a health and safety professional covering a variety of different sectors.

Currently I am employed as senior health and safety consultant at one of the country’s leading health & safety/ project management companies.

My role on the EIBBSS team is to provide you with an environment which ensures your health, safety and wellbeing during the event and gives you the level of reassurance to fully enjoy the experience which is the Elgar International Brass Band Summer School.
