“Elgar International” as a “brand evolved from the  Bolsover International Brass Band Summer School (BIBBSS).

In 2021 a decision was taken to move BIBBSS from Derbyshire to Malvern, Worcestershire, the birthplace of Sir Edward Elgar and with this in mind the summer school course became the Elgar International Brass Band Summer School.

In 2023 the course is moving to Bromsgrove School which it is hoped will be our long-term home.

The Artistic Director for 2023 will be the World Renowned Philip Harper, Artistic Director of The Cory Band as EIBBSS Artistic Director.
