The Elgar International Brass Band Summer School (EIBBSS) has built on its success with the launch of its first Winter School (EIBBWS). This inaugural and innovative course has been declared a huge success by both delegates and tutors alike.

EIBBWS the ‘Winter School’ featured over 30 delegates and was hosted at Bromsgrove School, Worcestershire, with internationally renowned conductor Paul Holland as Artistic Director.

The delegates spent four intensive days with tutors Mark Wilkinson, Chris Thomas, Les Neish, Jonny Bates, and Ceri-Ann Townsend in sectional rehearsals whilst Paul Holland fronted the full band rehearsals and final concert.

As has been the policy of EIBBSS, there were a number of new works to perform and, of course, some Xmas favourites, which were greatly appreciated by the enthusiastic audience.

Owing to the success of this first ‘Winter School’, it has now become an annual event with enrolments already being received.
