Visitor Attractions to enjoy in and around North Eastern Derbyshire.
Bolsover District is one of the country’s best kept secrets. Ideally situated at the heart of the country, nestling between Sherwood Forest and the Peak District it offers a superb blend of spectacular scenery, historical features and quaint market towns.
We have a wide range of attractions, leisure activities and days out for you to explore whilst you are visiting us in North Eastern Derbyshire. Non participating delegates can enjoy the sites whilst you are on the Summer School or visit an attraction before or after your stay:
Bolsover Castle
Creswell Crags
Hardwick Hall
Stately homes, pretty villages, museums, beautiful countryside…whatever you want to do we have it all!
You can visit Renishaw Hall or Sutton Scarsdale Hall, an imposing shell of a grandiose Georgian mansion built in 1724-29, with an immensely columned exterior.
Clowne Leisure Centre has a beautiful new swimming pool. Swimming Pool Timetable
There is also a gym at the Clowne Leisure Centre which is on High Street Clowne around 100 yards from the Heritage High School where we are based.
We want you to enjoy your stay with us at Bolsover International Brass Band Summer School. We will of course be visiting Hardwick Hall on Wednesday 25th July 2018 and playing there from 2pm to 3pm in the glorious surroundings of the National Trust Treasure. We have been in previous years and always had a great time.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bolsover International Brass Band Summer School July 22nd to 27th 2018.
